How would you react, if someday you slept in your bed and woke up in heaven, no not the one everybody is hoping to go? What if you wake up to heaven here, on Mother Earth? How would you feel? How would you react? Will you be able to comprehend heaven in all its glory? What would you do if you had a camera hanging around your neck? I am sure you would go berserk and crazy, I for sure did.

When I slept that night, there were a lot of horses grazing in the pasture around my tent. The Local people keep them and leave them for grazing in the high Himalayas for months at a time. They were stampeding all the time, almost touching my tent. I was absolutely sure, that one of them will hit me for sure, therefore the whole night was spent extremely restlessly.

I woke up my participants way before sunrise and got ready for shooting some landscapes. As the sun lit up the landscape, it dawned to us that we probably were in heaven. Heaven it was for sure, for we were on top of clouds. It seemed as if an ocean of milk was flowing ever so smoothly below us.

This is just one of the zillion shots I took that morning. This was taken well before sunrise, when there was almost no light. The shot was taken facing to the west. The shades of Blue, Purple and pink that you see in the image, happen always in the direction opp. to the sun, at Sunset and Sunrise. Another prerequisite for this to happen is that the atmosphere has to be chilly.

There is no technicality to be discussed for this image, apart from the fact that I exposed to the right (ETTR) and exposed for the highlights. Later in post processing I brought the shadows up and added some contrast.
